Craft beer in Copenhagen
Denmark · Europe
The scene
Denmark — and especially Copenhagen — punches above its weight in craft beer thanks to Mikkeller's global influence and a deep Nordic appreciation for fermentation. Beyond Mikkeller's many bars (the original was on Viktoriagade and other locations include the airport), local breweries like Amager Bryghus, BRUS, To Øl, Flying Couch, and Bicycle Brewing keep the scene innovating. Taphouse downtown carries 61 taps from around the world — the volume play. The Danish design aesthetic shows up in every taproom interior.

Getting around & local context
Metro + bike are the best ways around — Copenhagen is very flat and bike-friendly. Pricing is high (Denmark) but quality is high too. Many places card-only (Danish krones cash is fading fast). Most spots open mid-afternoon and run later. Saturday brewery visits are best for atmosphere.
