Craft beer in Hong Kong
Hong Kong · Asia
The scene
Hong Kong's craft beer scene is geographically tight: Central, Sheung Wan, Wan Chai, and Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) host nearly all of it. The scene grew up around imported craft but local breweries (Yardley, Madhouse, Young Master) now produce respected beers. Out of the Brew in Central, Yardleys Taproom in SoHo, and Craftissimo in Sheung Wan are the consensus picks. Tap lists rotate frequently — Untappd is widely used.

Getting around & local context
MTR covers everything; Central/Sheung Wan are walking distance. Beer is expensive in HK (HK$80-120 per pour, ~$10-15 USD) due to alcohol tax. Many bars have happy hours that significantly reduce prices (typically 3-8pm). Some bars in TST cater more to expats/tourists; Central/Sheung Wan more locals. Cash + Octopus card both work.
